Faktor Keteladanan Paulus dan Implementasinya Bagi Orang Percaya: Studi Eksegesis Dalam Filipi 4:9
Abstract
Abstract: There are two controversial interpretations of Philippians 4:9: one is the discussion of strengthening the spiritual stability of the church, and the other is exemplification as the main factor of Paul's emphasis. If so, what exactly is Paul's main emphasis in this verse? The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning and context of this verse in order to provide a correct understanding based on the author's intention. For this reason, based on the descriptive qualitative method, with a hermeneutic approach to exegesis studies, this study found that Paul's main focus is to emphasize the importance of maintaining a living example and paying attention to the principles of exemplary, namely, first, exemplary begins with what is learned; second, exemplary is closely related to what is received, heard, and seen; third, exemplary speaks of application not knowledge; and fourth, exemplary is very involved with God's participation. This research will be a reference and input for every believer about Christian example, so that his life remains a blessing and not a stumbling block.
Abstrak: Terdapat dua interpretasi yang menjadi perdebatan dalam membahas Filipi 4:9, yakni pertama, pembahasan mengenai penguatan kestabilan rohani jemaat dan kedua, mengenai faktor keteladanan. Jika demikian apakah sebenarnya penekanan utama dari Paulus mengenai ayat ini? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna dan konteks ayat ini sehingga bisa memberikan pemahaman yang tepat berdasarkan maksud penulis. Untuk itulah berdasarkan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan hermeneutik studi eksegesis, maka penelitian ini menemukan, bahwa fokus utama Paulus adalah menekankan pentingnya menjaga teladan hidup serta memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip keteladanan, yakni pertama keteladanan dimulai dengan apa yang dipelajari; kedua, keteladanan sangat berhubungan dengan apa yang diterima, didengar dan dilihat; ketiga keteladanan berbicara tentang penerapan bukan pengetahuan; dan keempat, keteladanan sangat berimplikasi kepada penyertaan Tuhan. Penelitian ini akan menjadi rujukan dan masukan bagi setiap orang percaya tentang keteladanan Kristen, agar kehidupannya tetap menjadi berkat dan bukan menjadi batu sandungan.
